WE AT MOUNT MOREH-YAH ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO CELEBRATING YEHOVAH Appointed Time. MAY YEHOVAH BLESS YOUR ALL.
The Creator's Calendar
How Relevant is our Creator's calendar today? very much, This is how we know the Creator's reckoning of time. His Appointed Times
The new day begins at sunset (Gen 1;5 "And there was evening and there was morning the first day). The first day of the week begins at sunset at the end of the Sabbath Day,
Biblical days begins at sunset And the Pagan days at Midnight
The reckoning of the month is by the Lunar cycle. The new month begins when the first sliver of the is sighted in the land of Israel. The ReNewed moon must be observed from the earth it cannot be calculated.
The biblical definition of the comes from the Hebrew word Khodesh which means "renewed" it refers to the light of the moon being renewed after a period of darkness, but from earth the moon is observed in a cycle which is about 29 or 30 days from sighting of the first sliver of the new moon to the next. if the new moon is not sighted at the end of the 29th day it a full 30 day month.
The sighting of the renewed moon must be an atmospheric event rather than an astronomical event because everybody including the farmers , priests alike must be able to determine the day of the ReNewed Moon (New Month) without the or NASA. The biblical new moon and the new month are based on the observation of celestial bodies rather than mathematical calculations.
The reckoning of the new year by our observation of the lunar cycles in the land of Israel. The new year begins when the first sliver of the Renewed moon with the time that the barley crop reaches the stage that is referred to as Aviv. This is why the Hebrew Scriptures refer to the first month of the year as "the month of ".
In the month in which the barley is , we must keep the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at which time we are to make an offering of the Firstfruits of the (Exodus 12:2; 34:18). Until the barley reaches the stage of , we CANNOT declare the first month of the year. An month is added occasionally to the end of the calendar year to allow more time for the barley to ripen so that it can be ready to offer in the Temple on Yom haBiikkurim (Day of ) during the feast of Unleavened bread. This is the reason that commanded us to "Observe (-guard and protect) the month of "" ( 16:1) just as we were commanded to the Sabbath (Deuteronomy 5:12).
We need to be very careful about whom, or what Denomination we follow, some Messianic group today are following the Prushim ( Pharisees) and the Zadokim (Sadducees) and they call themselves Messianic because they do not understand that our Messiah does not belong to any denomination when He was on earth, rather He was against the religious leaders of His time which are the Pharisees and the Sadducees which are the modern day Rabbis. The word Prushim (Pharisees) means separated ones, In desire to live a holy life, they set up a system whereby they would separate themselves from the rest of the world to avoid defilement and from the corruption that had developed among the people of Israel. while the intention was good not to defile themselves from the world, they invented their own Laws that negates the Laws of YeHoVaH.
For example Pharisees demands that one would only eat food in a state of ritual purity. To effect this invented system, they made hundreds of rules concerning what prayers were to be said over particular kinds of food or combinations of foods; what plates were to be used for particular kinds of foods; how one was to wash and sanctify certain kinds of vessels; and whether certain types of ovens and utensils could ritual impurity, and if so how can it be purify. All this they did to avoid eating common food in the state of ritual purity. This entire concept is an of the Pharisees; and NOT ONE WORD OF SUCH SANCTIFYING OF FOOD IS EVEN SUGGESTED IN THE WRITTEN TORAH.
Yeshua our Messiah fought against this invented sanctity Laws of the Pharisee in his first documented miracle, at a Pharisee wedding in Cana. By the Pharisees Law, the ceremonial pots was reserved for water only and water that had the slightest hint of the flavour of wine was ceremonially unclean. what did Yeshua did he turned that water into most delightful wine and ask the servants to give it to the head rabbi. Many of Yeshua's miracles are deliberately carried out to violate Pharisees Laws throughout his ministry, He castigate the religious leaders and nullify their (man-made-laws) by His miracles from Heaven.
The Prushim(Pharisees) enacted over 500 Laws governing the keeping of the Sabbath day, including what constituted forbidden work, how far one may walk on the Sabbath, what one must do before the Sabbath in order to carry anything on the Sabbath. Yeshua broke must of this laws deliberately, such as violating the prohibition of putting saliva on one's eyes on the Sabbath (Talmud, Shabbat 108b;19-25), and he commanded those he healed on the Sabbath to break other Pharisees laws, when he healed the lane man he commanded him to take up you mat and go.The law of eruv carrying his mat on the Sabbath(Talmud Mas. Shabbat 6a) By the first century the Pharisaic religious system had been growing for over 300 years and was fast becoming the largest religious sect in the land of Israel.
In Yeshua's the Pharisees controlled the the Zadokim (Sadducees) still conducted the temple service. The Pharisees to seat in the "seat of Moses" and that every new commandment they invented has the same authority as the commandments Moses received from the hand of the Almighty.
All synagogue had a "seat of Moses" upon which the elders sat to pronounce new commandments they invented at will. Their sanctified commandments are , which are defined as "laws enacted by the rabbis which changes or negates the written Torah law" (Encyclopedia Judaica- ). In fact the Pharisees claim that when they make even the Almighty must obey their verdict. They claim that Moses actually gave them an oral , which gives them supremacy over the written Torah and the oral toral no one can properly understand the written Torah given at Mount Sinai. and who are the keepers of the oral ? The Pharisees of course.
The word appears in the English versions of the gospels as the word "tradition" but that is not what it means it means more than that, was invented to replace the written Torah of with the rules and regulations of man-made religion. Yeshua emphatically warned his followers to be wary of the leaven of the Pharisees" which he defined as their or illegitimately imposed laws.(Matt 16:12) The same way the religious imposition of man-made laws has now leavened virtually every sect of modern Christianity. The everlasting commandments that Yeshua preached, lived and endorsed have systematically been replaced by rules of denominational kingdoms that have no more authority than the of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.
The Pharisees invented the oral to prevent people from breaking the written Torah. Everyone is supposed to be obedient to the Written Torah and the Torah itself tells us that no one is ever authorized to add to or to subtract from the in other words, no one is allowed to break down any portion of the Torah. In reality, instead of protecting the sanctity of the written Torah the Pharisees deliberately broke down a portion of the Torah that forbade men from adding to the commandments by introducing what they call oral which is fabricated man-made law.
The Zadokim (Sadducees) were the priesthood who adopted their name from the sons of Zadok, a righteous lineage of the priest who served in the temple before the Babylonian captivity (1Chr24).
